Still job hunting

Haven't posted in a while because I'm building a playable level for my webpage and my portfolio. I figure that kills several birds with one stone since I am not really any one specific type of artist, e.g. "environment artist" even though I do concept and modeling work for environments on a daily basis.

Since the only job openings in Georgia at the moment are for environment artists I will be trying to focus on that part of my demo sandbox rather than the characters, rigging, animation, texturing, lighting, code.... well you know everything else that goes into making a game by yourself.

Don't know why but I have this image I can't get out of my head of these gaudy suits of armour bundled together with straps and whatnot that are filled with evil ....um... stuff? I don't know but I'm calling them the hollows and that's that.

found a new sketch program today, I usually can't draw for crap digitally but this program is pretty solid. It feels closest to real drawing of any programs I've tried. It's called mischief and it's awesome. Here is a doodle I did today while checking it out.

Little bit of work on my grunt also started base mesh for a knight pack I'm doing for the unity asset store. I'll be able to use the head, torso, pants and base boots for all four I'm designing right now.

Job Hunting

well, back to freelance until I can find a job. Took some time today to start pumping out some characters for the Unity asset store and maybe build a new portfolio. This was an old sketch that I never got around to sculpting and plus I wanted to try messing around with some comic book anatomy. This is about 2-3 hours into laying out the parts.

Heavy metal thunder

It's not that I haven't been making new stuff...... I just can't post it yet. After being brought onboard at Maandi Media Gameworld in September I have been making stuff for phones and tablets so I haven't had much time for high detail sculpts and stuff. I have a few things that I would like to finish and new ideas I'd like to mess around with so hopefully I will have some down time soon to address that or I might go crazy.
